Transfusion Centre in collaboration with the Centro Comercial Puerta de Alicante successful events this weekend I Marathon Spring Blood Drive. The day of solidarity that developed in two days, achieved a high turnout with 281 people made between Friday and Saturday. Specifically, 117 donors responded to the call on the afternoon of Friday, 70 on Saturday morning and 94 in the afternoon of that day. These results confirm the solidarity shown by the citizens of Alicante on these occasions which did not serve more than help promote organ donation and storage of blood units for Easter.
Notably, of the 281 people who attended this First Blood Donation Marathon Spring, have recorded 48 new donors, or whatever it is, nearly fifty people have decided to become donors because of this pioneering initiative Centro Comercial Puerta de Alicante.
All donors who came to show solidarity with those most in need in 24 hospitals in the province of Alicante were treated to an entry for Yelmo courtesy of Centro Comercial Puerta de Alicante who wanted to recognize and support for this first edition of the Marathon of blood donation.
Transfusion Center acknowledges the assistance of the Centro Comercial Puerta de Alicante in the organization and dissemination of this donation and commended the donors who participated in the First Blood Donation Marathon Spring.
