El idioma Galicia also has an explicit recognition in the law of the district of El Bierzo.

However, more than three years after the adoption of the new Statute of Autonomy, the Junta de Castilla y Leon has failed in an absolute way on this issue as the status like other legal standards that protect the Leonese and Galician, which are the English Constitution, the European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages, Council of Europe and the Law on Cultural Heritage of Castilla y León.

rule, the autonomous communities with different linguistic heritage of Castilian They cover the different languages \u200b\u200bspoken in their territories, or non-official and its speakers, laws and language policies active. In contrast, the de Castilla y León completely disregards the protection of Leon, and partly that of Galicia.

Abandonment of Leon by the Junta de Castilla y Leon has been denounced by various associations and organizations, and even the Joint Attorney has requested the implementation of Article 5.2 of the Statute. In turn, several groups, and even the Parliament of Galicia, have repeatedly asked for protection for the Galician language and its speakers within the autonomous territory of Castilla y León.

But the Junta de Castilla y León, once again, has ignored almost all previous requests.
